Collaborative piece I made last week for my Installation class. We had to do something site specific. This is all made from 3 spools of nylon string, most of the piece is all one continual piece of string. Definitely my favorite project of the class!

Thanks! We just used 2” fence staples, wasn’t sure how well they’d secure it but, its still up after about a week, and pretty taught!

This piece focused on the use of multiples to create an installation. I used about 1000 flexible straws. This was the only piece that actually cost me money to make the whole semester! I hated it in class when people were complaining about how they’re pieces weren’t how they really wanted them because they ‘couldn’t afford’ the materials. I am really happy with my pieces and they didn’t cost me shit! Thats just a poor excuse. But anywho the straws are hot glued to the window at different points and then picked up on the other side of the window so it looks like they flow through the window. They come out of hole in the wall very tightly woven together, and ‘explode’ as they move outside.

Yesterday my Wii came. It was ordered from dell.com and delivered by UPS. No signature needed, it was on my doorstep when I came home.

Today, my Beatles Rock Band bundle was to be delivered. It was ordered from dell.com and delivered by UPS. Apparently, I need to sign for it so I only got a note on my door saying I have to sign.

What gives?

Also, FedEx delivered my John Lennon guitar controller without signing for it. As excited as I am by the fact that it’s here, I can’t do anything with it without the game bundle…

What makes it so that you have to sign for a package rather than them being able to leave it?

Several years back when I ordered my Power Mac ($2800 value) UPS left that on my door step in the middle of winter. I had a book from amazon come the same week and UPS would not leave it without a signature.

I have a question about “Community” that maybe someone can answer…

Im really enjoying the interactions between all of the main charicters and Vaughn (Brita’s short run love interest). I love that they all give him shit about having tiny nipples. My question is:

Was Eric Christian Olsen (Vaughn) cast because he has really tiny nipples? or was that just a bonus feature to casting Eric as Vaughn? After hiring him for the role they found out his nipples were ridiculously tiny…then decided to write it into the script? I picture them going through a lot of auditions with really funny dudes but casting just kept saying things like “yeah… he is good but his nipples just arnt tiny enough.”

It’s alright though. I got Microsoft back by breaking this one. I kind of understand how certain serial killers feel; I got a lot of enjoyment from ripping the case off to see what its insides look like.
